APPLIED THEOLOGY
The word Theology comes to us from two Greek words, ‘Theos’ meaning God and ‘Logia’ meaning Words. Applied theology is therefore what we say and think about God, put into practice in our daily lives, in a way that affects personal and corporate transformation.
Jesus was arguably the greatest applied theologian of all time; “When you give… when you pray… when you fast…” (Matt 6) and the four taught modules of CML have a strong focus on applied theology, which is aimed at cultivating personal transformation in the life of the student. In addition to this, the missional placement is a key part of the full-time course providing a context for the students to put into practice all that is being learnt in the classroom context.
In addition to this, there are other opportunities for students to be involved in practical mission and ministry, such as street evangelism happening in Watford and occasional opportunities to be involved in short-term missions.
“CML will teach you more about God, yourself and serving others in a Christ-like way”
