The purchase of modules is determined by two things: the number of credits and the level of study. A few modules have individual prices, reflecting the fact that the study material supplied is notably smaller or larger than the standard amount.
For students who intend to undertake a significant number of modules, we offer a discount. This discount rate is listed on the fee sheet, and assumes that you will complete 120 credits of study within a three year period. If you take longer then you will need to pay a supplement on all outstanding modules. You may choose to pay in a single lump sum, by monthly standing order, or in two or three amounts, provided the full sum is paid within one calendar year. This offer protects you against future price rises.
If you are unemployed, handicapped or disadvantaged in some other way, we are usually able to offer a 20% discount on all the prices, except registration fees with Middlesex University. You will need to provide photocopied evidence of your status.
We will also consider requests from long-term missionaries for a similar discount. We would need proof from your Mission Board of your status, and we would want to discuss your financial situation further before granting the discount.
Married couples where both partners wish to study may share study material. The rate for the spouse is then reduced by 50%.
You can pay by cheque, postal order or credit card. If you visit LST in person, you may also pay in cash. Payment should be made in pounds sterling for the full amount.
We can accept Mastercard, VISA and Maestro cards; we have to add a surcharge equal to the charges levied by banks for payment on credit cards.
Please see the Overseas page for more details. You need to take the costs of airmail provision of study materials and/or books into account when sending or authorising your payment.
