Conrad Gempf speaking at Inspired Conference 2012

Saturday 14th July sees the launch of a new event for young preachers.

The Inspired Conference will be taking place at Sunnyside Church, in Berkhamsted.

Inspired is for young preachers and it aims to re-ignite a passion for preaching. The organisation wants to see a generation of young people inspired and excited about the potential that preaching has to change lives. Inspired will bring together seasoned practitioners, visionary speakers and young preachers for a day of equipping, resourcing and envisioning.

This year, LST's Conrad Gempf (lecturer in New Testament) will be taking part in the event. Conrad’s specialty areas are Mark, Luke, Acts and the backgrounds of the Pauline letters. He has acted as a translation/theological advisor to the NIV Translation Committee, to Rob Lacey on his translation of the gospels, and to Siku on the New Testament of The Manga Bible. He has also written, contributed to, or edited a large number of books and reference works and recently spoke at the Youthwork Summit.

The aim of Inspired is to send young people back to their churches with a passion for preaching and with opportunities to give it a go in a safe environment. And to that end, it is great that Conrad has the opportunity to represent LST at such an event.

Delegates at Inspired will get a free copy of Conrad's book 'Mealtime Habits of the Messiah'!
