LST is proud to announce that they are offering a funded place to study for a Certificate of Higher Education (Cert HE) – with the tuition fees paid.

The winner will be able to choose from any of the three core courses offered at undergraduate level by the school:

Theology, Theology & Counselling or Theology & Worship.

A Certificate of Higher Education at London School of Theology would normally cost over £6,000 – but the personal development value of the course is potentially immeasurable…

London School of Theology is the largest evangelical Theology College in Europe. Studying at LST means joining a vibrant learning community where you will grow to understand the Bible to a greater degree, and learn how to apply what you have learned to the world around you.

LST graduates are people who are well equipped to serve in churches, business, schools, on missions, in the media, in Bible translation – in fact in almost every walk of life.

2011’s winner was Sophia Davies who has just successfully completed her Certificate, she said:

“I have had such a wonderful year. It’s been hard work and my brain has been stretched further than I thought possible. The subjects have been in depth and wide-ranging and I’m feeling much better informed about my faith and the world I live in. I have also developed spiritually due to the character formation module and the services in the chapel, the worship, prayer times and singing in the choir. I have made some fantastic friends and have learnt from a variety of people from different cultures and denominations. I am now hoping to be able to come back next academic year and complete the diploma. They say a lot of people start at LST aiming to do a one-year certificate and end up there for three or four years! I think I may be one of those!

I want to extend my thanks and appreciation to everybody at LST for rewarding me with the funded place.”

Matt Adcock, Director of Communications, said, “At LST we are all about training people to positively change the world for God and as the leading Theological College in Europe we are keen to make our courses as widely available as possible. The competition to offer a fully funded position is a key opportunity for a student who could otherwise not have afforded to study theology to get the chance.”

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to undertake an
undergraduate course of this nature successfully. This will normally mean
two A level passes plus three different GCSE passes at grade C or above, or
equivalent alternatives for students under 21. For mature students (aged 21
and over) without these qualifications LST is additionally normally able to
recognise informal qualifications or learning experience.

THE CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS IS 31 AUGUST 2012.

A shortlist of applicants will be selected for interview and the final winner announced on
17 September.

The course starts with induction week: 01 October 2012.

The College’s decision is final - there is no cash alternative offered. If you have already applied - do not withdraw your current application. This competition is open to those who are eligible to study in the UK and does not include accommodation, travel or other expenses.
