Northwood is approx. 17 miles from Heathrow Airport, 23 miles from Luton Airport and about 50 miles from Gatwick and Stansted Airports.

London Heathrow Airport

Taxi - Before collecting your luggage ring Ace Cars on 01923 829111 / 829112 or Boughtons Cars on 01923 896060 and tell them which terminal number you are at. They will arrange where to collect you. The journey to LST takes about 35 minutes. Charges from Terminal 1,2 & 3 are approx. £22 and from Terminal 4 £24. It is customary to give a tip of about 10% of the fare. Do not get into a taxi already waiting at the airport, as this will be very expensive.

Rail – Heathrow has two rail services to Central London. In addition to the London Underground (Piccadilly Line) which connects all four terminals to London, is the Heathrow Express offering a direct rail service to London Paddington Station. Heathrow Express

Coaches – Express: dedicated coaches link Heathrow to Watford Junction Station operating from all four terminals. For further information on this service call 08457 484950.

Green Line Coach 724 runs throughout the day between Heathrow and Harlow stopping at Rickmansworth and Watford. Tickets can only be purchased on the coach. Greenline

London Gatwick Airport

Rail – Gatwick Express: operates a dedicated non-stop service every 15 minutes throughout the day to/from London (Victoria Station), with reduced frequency in the evenings. Gatwick Express

Coaches - There is a frequent Airbus service, the A5, operating between London Victoria Coach Station and the North & South Terminals at Gatwick. Information line: 0870 574 7777.

London Stansted Airport

Rail - There is a direct Stansted Express train service to London Liverpool Street Station. Trains run every 15 minutes throughout the day. Stansted Express

Coaches - Airbus offer a frequent service (A6) that operates between London Victoria Coach Station and Stansted Airport. Information line: 0870 574 7777.

London Luton Airport

Rail - A constant, free shuttle bus service links Luton Airport with Luton Airport Parkway Station (5 minute trip). This station is served by frequent Thameslink services to central London (St. Pancras).

Coaches - easyBus operates a service to/from Central London (Baker Street), from as little as £2 one way.

Green Line 757 provides an express coach link between London Luton Airport and Central London. If you are travelling with a large group, of more than 15 people please call +44 (0)1582 584478 (open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm).

National Express Bay 5-6 – High frequency services to numerous destinations.

Bus - London Luton Airport is served by frequent bus services connecting the airport and surrounding areas. Local buses operate from Bay 8 & 9 connecting the airport and surrounding areas including Watford. Located in Bay 1 is the free Rail Shuttle Bus.
