OLD TESTAMENT THEOLOGY IN CONTEXT

This module aims to develop your ability to recontextualise key Old Testament concepts such as the celestial court, land and ecology, Zion and Paradise, mortality and lament, blessing and curse, goddesses and women. It examines the Old Testament’s colourful metaphors, symbols and imagery in the context of Ancient Near Eastern art, ideologies and literature, and explores trajectories into the New Testament. You do not require Hebrew for this module.
