Living on campus

LST has three halls of residence, each with its own character, Laing, Aldis and Mitchell, home to around 100 students during term time.

The rooms are university-style, a mixture of single (approx 60) and twin-bedded (approx 40) rooms with washbasins. All rooms are fully furnished and bed linen is provided weekly. Every floor has a kitchenette and bath/shower facilities. There is also a launderette on site.

Each room has a telephone with voice-mail and a computer network point for free email, Internet access and connection to the LST network services.

Residence fees include three meals a day, seven days a week, during term time. You can apply to stay during the holidays but we can’t guarantee you a place as LST hosts conferences to help raise income and keep fees as low as possible.

The ground floor of Laing is accessible by wheelchair and we have one purpose-built disabled access bedroom with bathroom facilities adjacent. If you require specialised accommodation please arrange a discussion with our Disability Manager Jenny Aston.

Living off campus

For married students or those choosing to live off site, we keep an up-to-date list of registered properties available for rent. The Assistant Registrar can offer assistance in finding accommodation locally.
