Enable 913 is a group at LST with a focus on disability issues.
It’s not just for people with disabilities. Enable 913 is open to anyone connected with LST who has an interest in, or experience of disability. We are a staff and student group and include people studying or teaching on full-time, part-time, distance learning, undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
913 refers to John 9:1-3, when Jesus explains that a man’s blindness is not due to his sin or that of his parents, but 'happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life.'(v3) This reflects that all Christians share the aim to display God’s glory in their lives.
"LST on disability", reflects that inclusion and non-discrimination of people with disabilities is relevant to everyone in the LST community.
Our vision is to help staff and students to demonstrate the love of Jesus in attitudes and practical action, particularly in relation to people with disabilities, in their college life and outside it.
