Graham lectures in Systematic Theology; a discipline that seeks both to show and teach the internal coherence and consistency of each doctrine in itself and in relation to other aspects of Christian thought. He trained at LST (BA & MA), and taught RE for 4 years before taking his PhD at King’s College (KQC) with Colin Gunton. He joined the School's faculty in 1990 as Lecturer in Systematic Theology and Assistant Director of Research. Graham has written two books on the Scottish theologian Edward Irving, Christ and the Spirit and Edward Irving: The Trinitarian Face of God and has also written Why Do You Believe What You Believe About The Holy Spirit? and Why Do You Believe What You Believe About Jesus? He enjoys encouraging people to think through their faith, has been known to enthuse about abstract modern art and enjoys life in the Cotswolds with his wife, Hilary, herself a graduate of London School of Theology and King's, and daughter, Flora.

Graham supervises research students in Systematic Theology from an Evangelical perspective, generally. Given the broad historical and theological nature of this discipline it is not surprising that his research supervision interests cover a wide range of subject matter. He is particularly interested in atonement, hamartiology, relational theology which includes trinitarian theology, christology, pneumatology, theological anthropology and soteriology.  His research interest in Edward Irving continues as well as interest in other nineteenth century Scottish theologians. He has successfully supervised to completion several PhDs in Orthodox and Romanian theology. He has a keen interest in contemporary culture and the relationship between theology, modern art and our changing culture.
