David brings considerable experience to his position as Head of our Department of Music and Worship. After obtaining a music degree from Birmingham University, he became Music Director and Coordinator of the Christian Arts Project. He then spent 10 years teaching before returning to 14 years in full-time music ministry, which included serving as Music Director of a large Baptist church.
He began working towards establishing full-time music and worship training in 1990 as part of the Music and Worship Foundation, resulting in joint initiatives with LST beginning in 1992. David has wide experience in training and directing music at major events around the world including the Baptist World Alliance World Congresses in Argentina and Australia. He is Editorial Secretary for The Jubilate Group and has been Music Editor for many publications, most recently World Praise 2 and Carol Praise (2006 edition). David has four children.
