Born into a Christian family, Julie first studied Biochemistry, before qualifying and working as a dietician in the NHS. Having come to LST to study theology, she completed her doctoral studies in 2003. Her particular interests are the use of the OT in the NT, the intertestamental period, the Gospels and Acts. She has been appointed a Bishop’s Adviser on Selection for the St Albans Diocese, has taught on their continuing ministry education courses and for the now defunct St Albans and Oxford Ministry Course.
Julie has written for Scripture Union in their Encounter with God series of Bible study notes, and written reviews for JSNT and Evangelical Quarterly.
In her spare time, Julie enjoys entertaining, spending time with friends, reading, sport (now watching rather than participating), reading and singing. She is married to Tim, a New Zealander, who is an Anglican vicar, with one adorable (of course!) daughter, Sarah.
Julie is interested in supervising research in New Testament, particularly in Luke-Acts, Matthew, John and Jesus. She also has interests in Christology, biblical theology and hermeneutics, the use of the OT in the NT and in intertestamental Judaism and the NT.
