Christopher initially trained at the Royal Academy of Music, specialising in harmony and composition, and studying the violin, viola and piano. He also holds an MA in Music Education from London University Institute of Education, where he was awarded a distinction for his work on musical composition as an embodiment of life-feeling; aesthetic education and the philosophy of music.
Chris has been a Visiting Tutor for the Theology, Music and Worship course since 1997 and this academic year he will be teaching modules Integrating Theology, Arts and Worship and Understanding Music: a Theological Aesthetic. He is also on the staff of John Lyon School in Harrow, where he teaches class music throughout the school, directs a variety of ensembles and teaches the piano and violin. Chris also is a jazz enthusiast – performing and teaching jazz piano, guitar and improvisation.
