An experienced counsellor and supervisor, Owen worked in a general medical practice between 1988 and 2002 seeing individuals, couples and groups. With an expertise in stress management, he led many stress management and assertiveness training groups and has trained GP registrars in counselling skills. Owen is an ACC accredited counsellor and supervisor, has BACP accreditation and is UKRC registered. He is currently undertaking research towards a PhD on a part-time basis. Owen is married to Laura, who was a fellow student at Reading University, and they have a son and a daughter. He is a keen Manchester City fan which he says keeps him humble! As well as football, he enjoys cricket, playing his guitar, singing and often leads worship at his local church in Fleet, Hampshire.
