Sam trained at London School of Theology in Theology, Music and Worship, graduating in 2001. He was a full-time Worship and Creative Arts Team Leader at Ascension, Balham Hill, London for five years, and then until recently was Worship Minister at St James’ Hemingford Grey.
A published songwriter, Sam co-leads RESOUNDworship.org, a new expression of contemporary worship song-writing. The focus of this project is integrity of lyrics and music through peer critique, then sharing new songs for free online to subscribers worldwide.
With his wife Sara he co-leads the ministry engageworship.org aiming to train and resource creative, innovative worship through their website, resources and events. Together, they are in great demand leading training and worship in churches and major events, including Spring Harvest (where they have led the Big Top creative teams, providing liturgy, visuals and other worship expressions), New Wine, Youthwork the Conference, Greenbelt and Tearfund Conferences. Their first book How Would Jesus Lead Worship was published in 2009.
