2010 Laing Lecture

LST welcomed Professor Alister McGrath, Head of the Centre for Theology, Religion and Culture, King’s College London to deliver the 2010 Laing Lecture entitled “The Lord is my Light: In defence of a discipleship of the mind”.

Professor McGrath spoke at a chapel service, an academic seminar and an evening public lecture.

The evening lecture, held at Emmanuel Church, Northwood, focused on the importance of being theologically informed and professionally competent. For the 500 attending, Professor McGrath encouraged involvement in cultural debates, and brought a refreshing mix of inspiration and motivation.
