2010 LST Graduates celebrate achievements in style

LST’s class of 2010’s outstanding examinations results were celebrated last Saturday at Soul Survivor in Watford. The room was  packed with friends and well-wishers as it was a real family affair, full of emotion and joy. On top of that, most of the students were buzzing with excitement as they received their prizes and awards.

This year’s achievements include eight first class honour degrees. In his address, the Vice Principal Chris Jack gave thanks for the success of the college, he said:

"We give thanks for this year's excellent acdemic results - these being a testimony to the industry and ability of our students but also to the high quality of our teaching staff and of the resourcing of our programmes."

There was invaluable contribution from LST's choir as they performed brilliantly throughout the event, in fact all the songs were carefully selected to fit the occasion. Other notable contributions came from student president Laura Robinson who led the opening prayer and testimonies from three graduating students, Tariq Waris, Lizzie Jakeman and Ai Duc Le.

Another distinguished LST alumni, the RT. Hon. The Lord Hastings of Scarisbrick CBE was main speaker. He spoke passionately about his student days on the LST campus and told the new graduates:

“Don't complain because you are privileged you have so much, be so happy, be known for your smiles and your joy not for your accusations and your differences; include all the others who don't fit our model, everyone of them, as Jesus did- As human beings our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the world as being able to remake ourselves."

Bible Reading was Philippians 2: 12-18: 4: 4-5
