Birthday Celebration at WCCS

Watford Counselling Centre Service (WCCS) is 10 years old this year. And to mark the occasion supporters and friends are invited on the 27th September for an evening celebration in the Barn.

The local community will be involved in the celebration because although WCCS works with several organisations across the UK their first port of call is the people of Watford and the surrounding.

WCCS started a decade ago, in Beechen Grove Baptist Church when a group of Christian counsellors came together to help to address problems that affected their communities. Different issues were considered including stress, relationship problems, bereavement, depression, eating disorders, phobias, and so on.

From those small beginnings WCCS moved in March 2009 to a purpose built counselling room in the Barn, in central Watford. The whole operation is made possible by a team of dedicated staff and volunteer counsellors.

The team usually offers counselling to individuals, but can also accomodate couples, children and young people where possible. The counselling is confidential and the doors  open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
