Placements

An integral part of studying theology at LST is a practical ministry placement. All theology in the evangelical tradition is applied theology. We should always ask: what are the practical implications of our study of texts, doctrine and ideas?

LST’s partnership with numerous churches, mission agencies and other organisations enables LST students to experience the Kingdom of God at work.

A supervised practical placement gives you the chance to apply and develop your skills. Term-time placements involve 3-6 hours per week of applied ministry. Possible placements include: church work, preaching team, communication/media, evangelism, children or youth work, social action and others.

Vacation placements offer you an opportunity to broaden and deepen your practical experience and training. Students often travel overseas or take part in UK missions and church-based ministries.
