Three Levels, Three Programmes

What programme should I take?

I’d love some counselling skills for my general church ministry. Should I take the Theology & Counselling programme?

No. The Theology programme includes options for studying pastoral counselling as part of your training for general church ministry. The Theology & Counselling programme is intended especially for those considering a full-time career in counselling.

I’m really interested in worship, and I’d like to know more, but it probably won’t be my main area of work.

The Theology programme offers an optional module in the Theology of Worship that you could take as part of your training for general church ministry. The Theology, Music & Worship programme is perfect for those who expect music and worship to be their main area of work.

I may well continue studying, or go into teaching. What would be the best programme for me?

All programmes have both academic and practical modules, but the Theology programme is the most suitable if you are considering going on to postgraduate study or a career in teaching, unless you already know that your academic career will be in one of our specialist practical areas.
